In the early 1990s, Peter Max created a series of heart paintings to celebrate the '90s as the 'Decade of the Heart.' The artist wanted to honor Americans sharing and giving in the arts - celebrating a country with a heart. His 'Heart' paintings have become a collector favorite.

Max's 'Two Hearts' is an exuberant, expressionistic painting with sumptuous and sensual expressionistic strokes and bold, Fauvist color that captures the excited and inspiring energy of love.
