This vintage museum exhibition poster features one of Peter Max's mesmerizing collages from his 'psychedelic surrealism' period of the mid-1960s. During this period Max worked with historic photographs, mixing them with avant-garde fashion photographs, printed patterns and textures. Max meticulously cut the elements to form surreal and mirrored imagery, and enhanced the designs with high-contrast photostat experimentation. 

This poster brilliantly reproduces the graphic power and visual illusion of this collage work and commemorates Max's 'Pop to Patriotism' retrospective - one of many one-man museum exhibitions throughout his career of over a half-century.
