As Peter Max looked to the new millennium in 1999, he created a series of uplifting posters expressing his hopes and bright optimism for the era ahead. An electric sunrise in a surge of the artist's most exuberant colors rises on the horizon with peace doves above, a garden of Max's unique flowers below and a simple, perfect heart floating above the sun's reflection on the water.
Max rendered the work in his 1960s 'Cosmic Art' style which addressed the hopes of the love-and-peace movement thirty years earlier. This stunning poster is brilliantly reproduced displaying the artist's striking color, animated, bold line work and the promise of a new millennium found in each life-giving sunrise.
