From his memories of the monks and sages of his childhood in Shanghai, China and trips to Tibet, Peter Max created 'Monk at Red Sea.' In this rare composition, a zen monk with umbrella meditates amidst the vivid color spectrum of a brilliant sky reflecting on the sea and mountains as a rainbow meets the horizon. 

'Monk at Red Sea' captures a moment in time of the earth's evolving atmosphere and landscapes with a peaceful monk as witness, painted with brilliant swirls of intense color in the artist's Neo-Fauvist style.
