One from a numbered edition of 250 signed by Peter Max. 

This vintage serigraph is a stunning exemplar of the bridge between Peter Max's 1960s internationally-renowned 'Cosmic Art' period and his drawing style that emerged later in the 1970s. 

The artist's bold, definitive lines from his 'Cosmic Art' era are now softened and more calligraphic, echoing the influence of Matisse and Picasso. Max draws during this period with more fluid, organic lines. 

The artist's bold fills of color remain from his cosmic era. They contrast, complement and play off of each other. Tempered neutrals meet hot bursts of color for a blissful balance in hue and composition. 

This serene image is quintessential Max, taking us into the peacefulness of nature on a spring day with a lovely guide stepping lightly through the journey.
