This ethereal, magical graphic print features an iconic drawing from Max's signature 1960s 'Cosmic Art' period - an era of works that inspired and captured the zeitgeist of a generation and brought the artist international acclaim. 

The printing art forms are as important to Peter Max as his painting process and they have been central to his work throughout his career. 

In 'The Profile,' Max's self-portrait in profile is immersed in his fantastical dreamscape filled with color, hope and imagination. Euphoric, gravity-defying runners and jumpers travel with wise sages and angels amidst the wonders of heaven and earth - mountains, flowers, oceans and lakes, clouds, planets and star clusters. This work is a quintessential composition of the artist's 'Cosmic Art' period, capturing the essence of the culture-shifting era.
