His vase of flowers tilts with his stance as he leans and looks out. The window is illuminated with enigmatic light and form - an opening to a mystical beyond. 

This work is a departure from the artist's renown 'Cosmic Art' era of the 1960s. Here his signature bold, black lines have softened. They are suggested not solid. They are flowing and fluid. His bold color fills have evolved into soft washes of color in subdued tones. Accents of more daring color add depth and balance.
