'Palm Beach Lady' first emerged in the artist's drawings. Peter Max brought his paper and pens everywhere - cafes, cars, planes, drawing the inspirations from within and around him. Max drew her first in the 1980s and later painted her in a sensuous play of vivid colors and bold brushstrokes - strong, feminine, modern, smiling and at peace.
