Emerging from the artist's line drawings from decades ago, which he created everywhere; this large canvas of 'Crimson Lady' profile is a complex study of textured brushstrokes, bold, harmonious color-mixing and precise and spontaneous line work. 

The eye focuses on the strength of her expression; then moves to the curved lines of her neck and shoulders and the flourish of flowers and Maxian 'zooples' in her hair, all portrayed in seemingly effortless yet energetic brushstrokes.
