Without Borders Ver. X #67
Acrylic on Canvas
24" x 20"
Peter Max's 'Without Borders' painting was originally created for Ted Turner's 'Without Borders' documentary on five of the world's major rivers and the life they sustain. The documentary and Max's art helped raise awareness on the health of the Amazon, other great rivers, the rainforest and our environment in the late 1980s.
In Max's 'Without Borders,' a sailboat glides on a tributary to the Amazon River as the sunset illuminates the landscape in expressionistic brushwork. Painted in a unique palette of softer colors, this is one of the artist's works for environmental causes, for which he has been passionate about throughout his career.
